The dwelling - Gåetie
Our traditional gåetie has an open fire in the center and is the kind of dwelling South Sami people used to build in forest areas.
We can sit around the fire on warm reindeer-skins, drink fresh coffee and reindeer-broth and perhaps taste some salted, dried reindeer meat.
Good to know
Our gåetie seats 70 people.
We recommend that guests wear warm, washable clothing. The dwelling is cozy, but it can take some time to warm up in the wintertime, and there can be smoke in the air due to the open fire.
Food and/or meals must be booked at least 1 week in advance.
